The water crisis is getting worse due to population growth and the increasing rate of industrialisation. Lack of water and especially drinking water is a significant and complex challenge. Accordingly, the importance of the treatment and recovery of effluent water is critical in the water economy of every country.
It is customary to divide sewage into two main types: domestic (sanitary) and industrial. In this course, we will discuss the differences between them, the different treatment methods and technologies for sewage treatment while emphasising engineering principles, operational considerations, environmental aspects, sewage economics and more.
